Company training

Not every company trains their workers thoroughly. You probably already know this from experience. However, there is one that I know of (because I work for them) who not only train in new people when they're hired, but they also give employees a chance to move up within the company.

My youngest son also works for the same company and right now he's on a 5 day intensive training trip in another city. The company pays for everything while he's there. These kinds of training classes are so intensive that they qualify you for college credits.

When he gets home, he'll have a lot of neat gadgets, too, such as a Promotional usb drive, lapel pins, maybe even a trophy if he excels at the classes.

I heard from him last night by phone, and though he's ready to come back home, he still has a couple of days of classes left before it's time. After he gets back, he'll be running a store on his own, which means better pay even though it's a bit longer hours.

My advice to you? Get with a company where you can get the training you need as you work and take them up on any continuing education programs they offer.
