Cutting losses
If I haven't learned anything else, it's that my Sis and brother-in-law have been very wise to invest in rv insurance for their camper trailer. It's not new anymore, but they've taken good care of it. However, as with all things, certain parts of the trailer have needed to be fixed from time to time.
The most costly repair was the slide out. It had to be completely removed, reworked, and put back in. This would have cost them several thousand dollars were it not for their insurance covering the biggest part of it.
Are all insurances created equal? Probably not. Do some shopping around and teach your children about the importance of having the right kind of insurance for what they own.
